Victorian Turquoise & Pearl Fancy Bracelet
A beautiful bracelet from the late Victorian period/turn of the last century. The bracelet is made from solid 9ct gold and has a wonderful fancy link, which is highly stylised and makes a real statement. The links are a lovely curved openwork design interlocking all the way along and have highlights of gold dots on most of the length of the bracelet with the final three on either side of the centre set with two pearls and a turquoise. At the centre top is a circular gold frame, hinged on either side and dotted with beautiful graduated turquoise. Within the frame is a pretty leaf design with split seed pearls set throughout and a turquoise in the middle. Such a beautiful bracelet, classic to the period with its turquoise and pearl combination and a lovely point of difference with its design. Certainly one of a kind!
Within each open link is a little round rigid bail. I believe this once held a spring and the bracelet likely started life as an expandable style. Now, it has a lovely tongue and box hidden clasp that is very in keeping with the style and makes the piece much more wearable.
Details:
Materials - 9ct Gold (marked), Turquoise, Pearl
Age - C1890-1900
Size - The central circular frame measures approx 20mm in diameter. The bracelet is approx 7" long and would fit a small to medium wrist

Weight - 16g
