Vintage 22ct Enamel Panel Ring

sold out

A wonderful and unusual ring from the middle of the 20th Century, c1940s. The ring is made from 22ct gold and the gold has a wonderful rich colour as you would expect. It has a lovely panel with a bird engraved into the front and colourful enamel surrounding it. The enamel has created a picture rising from the green grass, through a brown-grey hill into the cornflower blue sky. It is a typically mid-century shape and seems to be in its original box. The box has a reference to Jaffna, Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka) and a date of 31-7-45. It is likely that this ring was purchased there as a souvenir. Such a wonderful ring and the enamel colouring is exquisite.

This ring should be worn with care due to the enamel.
