Vintage Blue Enamel Mizpah Ring
A beautifully made ring from the late 20th Century, dated London 1977. The ring is a classic piece of Victorian Revival jewellery, which was popular at the time, and has been designed and constructed very thoughtfully. At the centre is a square panel with a deep red ruby set in a decorative diamond shaped setting. The shoulders have vibrant blue enamel with the word ‘Mizpah’ picked out in bold gold lettering. Mizpah is a Hebrew term meaning ‘may God watch over you’. Mizpah jewellery was traditionally given to a loved one to express that wherever they are, they are always cherished. So beautifully designed and carefully made to represent the jewellery from a previous, much admired, period.
