Vintage Diamond Stud Earrings
A lovely pair of simple diamond studs from the late 20th Century, dated with import marks for London 1982. The earrings are marked as 750 for 18ct gold, though the import marks state that they are .585 for 14ct, which likely indicates that when they were hallmarked on arrival into the UK, the hallmark office found that they tested as 14ct. Either way, they are certainly high carat white gold. The diamonds are brilliant cuts and measure approx 3mm in diameter each, around 0.1ct each. They are approximately I colour, VS clarity. They appear very bright and these gradings are given whilst the diamonds remain in the settings. They have a lovely raised illusion claw setting giving them a little more stature and look beautiful in the ear. They have large secure butterfly fastenings.
