sold out

An unusual charm from the middle of the 20th Century, dated London 1959. The main part of the charm is made from 9ct gold and it is a little case holding a one shilling coin. The coin is also dated 1959 and has sat in this statement pendant for the past 60+ years. The front of the pendant has the words ‘Just in Case’ engraved into it and a little diagram of a gas meter from the time. You would feed the gas meter the coin and it would start up again in an emergency. I love this! The gas would have been for warmth and it makes me feel as though this is a little warm hug. A lovely charm pendant with the original coin.

Chain pictured is for display only.
