Vintage Large Scarab Souvenir Ring
A wonderful statement ring from the mid to late 20th Century, c1960/70s. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold, faintly marked on the inside of the shank, and has a strong, chunky claw setting. The setting holds a detailed pottery scarab bead. The scarab was likely brought back as a souvenir after a holiday and made into a ring on the owners return. It has pretty carving and detailed hieroglyphs to the base, which can be seen through the open back. The scarab is a pale turquoise colour with a slightly mottled appearance; a pretty colour combined with the gold. The ring has a high profile on the finger making a stunning statement when worn.
