Vintage Qu Hier Square Pendant
A lovely example of this popular vintage charm. These charms originate in France and are made from 18ct gold. This particular style is a little more unusual than some of the others with its square shape and hidden bail, and is a lovely large size. It has a good weight to it too. The charm is marked with the maker A.A. for Alphonse Augis who made popular the phrase ‘+ Qu Hier - Que Demain’ from 1907 onwards. It was taken from an 1890 poem by Rosamonde Gerard. The phrase means ‘I love you more than yesterday and less than tomorrow’. This particular style is very on point and makes a fabulous statement on a chain.
The chain pictured is for display only.
